It's called having a plot idea since March and not wanting to start writing the story until November, so you need to do other stuff with it. XP

Ugh, I hate getting stuck like that. My advice to you is to look at his childhood (as freudian as it sounds). What was it like when he was growing up? Lots of siblings or friends? What were his parents like (were they rulers? Were they evil or beign rulers?), and how did they treat your villain? Has he always had evil tendencies even as a child (was he the bully? How did his parents react to it, did they encourage it or try to stop it), or did he develop them in response to something in his life (emulating his 'rents, or if they're good people, scoffing at their weaknesses/lack of ambition etc, or maybe something happened where his city got attacked or someone he knew/loved got hurt and he vowed revenge, or where he got hurt and he vowed to never be so powerless again or anything like that). I think that when creating a villain, it's really important to delve not into the present and future but into the past, especially as a child and his relationships with his family, friends and community. I don't know if

That's what I always do. The problem is that he doesn't want to reveal his past to me. I have some ideas of why he is the way he is... but some of them don't fit the story line, not logically. He perceives a wrong-doing to himself, that much I know. And he seeks revenge. But I think some pretty f*cked up stuff happened to him as a kid.

Villains are HARD. Not knowing exactly what's going on I don't know what to suggest... But you could go along the lines of him having a screwed up childhood. Or maybe somehow in his twisted mind he's doing all this awful stuff... for love. Or to prove a point. Or a sort of temper tantrum gone wrong because even with all this stuff he's done and all these countries he's conquered, he still can't achieve such-in-such. Or the girl he "loved" killed herself before he could make her marry him. Or something. I dunno. You'll figure it out though!!!
