Viddler

A friend of mine wanted to see some Thief, so here goes. Unfortunately, while I can get Thief 1 to run with Fraps, it's less happy with Growler Guncam, which I'm using now. Furthermore, actually capturing notes is just not happening there. I can't get Thief 1 to start with the ddfix patch on this machine, which would let me get notes and the map. However, I get fairly happy recording with Thief 2 and ddfix, except that I don't think it's entirely respecting my gamma setting. Editing helps, but I think some dark colours are being dropped into black.

Enough with the technical griping, though, and on with the game. While this certainly could be shorter, my objective here is to present how it is to play Thief, and trying too hard to optimize the run would, I think, take out the hiding in the darkness which is a core part of "normal" play.
