The right character is so very important. The best name I ever came up with for a character was "Adagia". She's my favorite character ever.

You look like Michael Cera here. Make me laugh.

yay! Things are so much more convenient when you charas have names ^_^

It's definitely true that characters pick their names, not the writer. I rather dislike the names for most of my characters in my novel, but there's nothing I can about it. Well, except create characters that give them nicknames ^_^

I touch upon that same concept in my novel when explaining why Will's parents insist on callimg him William instead of Will.

It's an awesome concept isn't it? I wish I had thought of it first, lol.

Haha I've been naming my characters by banging my hands on the keyboard, but you're definitely right (Gah I spelled that "write"!) about names holding power, maybe that's why my characters aren't cooperating.

I totally understand. I kept wanting to name my main character Kenya but finally one day, the name KENDRA shouted out in my brain and I realized that 's what she wanted to be called. I've definitely got a solid character now because of that.

I started off with a long list of names to choose from, but total self-indulgence as I had already decided that all the names of the characters where going to be named after characters from two of my favourite films (not telling yet). Only problem is, there aren't many WOMEN'S names to choose from...

Oh, come on! Tell us which films! I'm curious now.

Makes sense to me -- names make such a difference!

no names are just important as baby names.. u got to match the right one or esle its not right
