ATLANTIC BEACH, S.C. -- Police in South Carolina have released video of a confrontation involving the new mayor of Atlantic Beach.
The cell phone video shows Mayor Retha Pierce and another woman in a heated argument in a doorway at City Hall.
A police officer stepped in between to separate them.
Police said the mayor became angry after she wasn't given an office at City Hall. When she refused to leave, she was arrested on a trespassing charge.
The mayor said that any video of the incident was concocted by people "out to get her."
She's suing the police chief and other town officials over the incident.
