Some people like beer, some wine, and some the hard stuff--and, it's ok to like none of it.

I don't drink much--though wine is my drink though if given the choice. I don't like the hard stuff (except margaritas). You may like a different wine than the one you had there--(although it may be great), just not your particular "taste". Wines range from "Boone's Farm" all the way up to the overpriced stuff with some actual good stuff in between. I don't know, ask Gary.

You nailed it. Red's are suposed to be consumed at room temperature. When it is cold, the profile is very tight, you will taste some of the sugars, but little else. As it warms it open ups to what was intended. This is the same for craft beer, very few are designed to be consumed at 34 degrees, they do it to mask the flavor and direct you down a path of "cold & refreshing"
