PodCamp Western Mass
I took a blast on the Mass Turnpike to attend PodCamp Western Mass on Saturday. The event was very well attended. I was struck by the diversity and excitement of the participants. Check out the pics.
The Extra Mile
Meeting all the incredible people at PodCamp I couldn't help but reflect on the reward of driving the extra mile. It got me thinking about many of the people we consider pioneers in the Massachusetts social media scene such as Chris Brogan, Christopher Penn (founders of PodCamp) and CC Chapman. Not only have these guys worked tirelessly to foster a vibrant social media community but each has literally travelled thousands of miles to attend PodCamps, tweetups and conferences.
Would you drive an hour if it meant you might meet some new people? How far is too far for an event?
