Same riddle over here. I took a look in my wooden shoes but couldn't find week 2.

Is that a Dutch idiom, or do you really own wooden shoes???

yay, you can do it!! And have yummy tea. :) Do you know what box you're going to get?

I haven't decided yet. Either the earl grey or the flora. There's a sampler box that contains them both, so I might just get that one if I feel like spending the extra money. We'll see what I feel like when the time comes :)

I vote for awesome! I'll be spending the entirety of the day after Thanksgiving writing, bc my wife's working that day and I'm not.

You can't write action scenes very well YET!! Be more optimistic!

Action's tricky. My stories tend to have lots of it, but it's always the hardest part for me to write. I have to remind myself that while the action is going on, my characters are still thinking and feeling, not just REACTING to everything.

See, my problem is the opposite. It sounds like my characters are just sitting in the middle of the room going "oh, look. That guy is about to punch me. Oh, and look over there, that guy just got kicked in the nuts, sucks for him." rather than them jumping up and taking a part of everything. So I've been trying to channel more of what they themselves would be perceiving rather than what is actually going on, ya know?

Very nice idea. That'll be the sweetest tea you'll ever taste. Or bitterest, depending on how you take your tea. . .

Happy birthday! Sitting around writing does sound like a nice birthday. . .

Yeah, I just wrote my first action scene and I'm too scared to go back and read it, 'cause I think it went horribly.

haha, yeah. I love those pjs. So comfy and stripey. ^_^

Yeah! Look at you, pulling off word count doors like there's no tomorrow!

I dread action scenes. Thankfully I don't have any action in my novel... yet.

Sweet. People with Nov. 18 birthdays are just always totally cool. Haha ^__^

Action is hard because if you take the time to use discriptions, it slows down too much, and if you don't tell the reader what's going on they are clueless. Very hard to find the right balance.

I'm having the same problem today! I know that I'll like the story once it's all put together, but I just don't want to write the scenes that connect everything. It's fun to just write something random. Sadly, I've run out of random ideas and it's time to start building a novel instead of just baking bricks.
