8 months ago 0 + -Action's tricky. My stories tend to have lots of it, but it's always the hardest part for me to write. I have to remind myself that while the action is going on, my characters are still thinking and feeling, not just REACTING to everything.

8 months ago 0 + -See, my problem is the opposite. It sounds like my characters are just sitting in the middle of the room going "oh, look. That guy is about to punch me. Oh, and look over there, that guy just got kicked in the nuts, sucks for him." rather than them jumping up and taking a part of everything. So I've been trying to channel more of what they themselves would be perceiving rather than what is actually going on, ya know?

8 months ago 0 + -I'm having the same problem today! I know that I'll like the story once it's all put together, but I just don't want to write the scenes that connect everything. It's fun to just write something random. Sadly, I've run out of random ideas and it's time to start building a novel instead of just baking bricks.
