Texting at movies only really bothers me if they leave the sound on. Otherwise I could care less. I don't see texting bothering any one.

If I'm watching a serious movie, and I'm really into it, and the guy sitting in front of me whips out his phone at a key moment and starts clicking around... it's going to take me out of the movie, at least for a few seconds. Is two hours away from the outside world too much to ask?

My iPhone is always on silent so I don't have to worry about it making noise in a movie theatre.

The only reason I would text during a movie is to send a quote from the film to Twitter. When doing so I put my iPhone between two seats to block the intense light from the screen.

Radool!

It doesn't really bother me if they do it discretely-->phone is silent and the screen brightness is turned down low plus if its done only once or twice. If the person is having a full on text conversation, then I'll say something.
