Have you noticed lately the newly revised sermon that comes on prior to the movie previews at movie theaters on silencing your mobile device? Actually, I'm not too sure about this, but for a long while AT&T was delivering that message with Regal Cinemas. Now it's Sprint, but furthermore I think it was Sprint that added the second commandment of "No texting."

6 months ago +1 + -Texting at movies only really bothers me if they leave the sound on. Otherwise I could care less. I don't see texting bothering any one.

6 months ago +1 + -If I'm watching a serious movie, and I'm really into it, and the guy sitting in front of me whips out his phone at a key moment and starts clicking around... it's going to take me out of the movie, at least for a few seconds. Is two hours away from the outside world too much to ask?

6 months ago +1 + -My iPhone is always on silent so I don't have to worry about it making noise in a movie theatre.
The only reason I would text during a movie is to send a quote from the film to Twitter. When doing so I put my iPhone between two seats to block the intense light from the screen.

6 months ago +1 + -It doesn't really bother me if they do it discretely-->phone is silent and the screen brightness is turned down low plus if its done only once or twice. If the person is having a full on text conversation, then I'll say something.
