1 year ago 0 + -ok... that defeats the whole purpose of it being on your hardrive. What were they thinking?

1 year ago +1 + -they were thinking people would just rent and copy if they didn't need the disk.
maybe they could do something like require the disk once a week or something?

1 year ago +1 + -The purpose is potentially faster access times, much quieter (no disc spinning noise) usage and less physical wear and tear on the disc drive. I really can't complain about getting the OPTION to use this (unlike the PS3 which forces you for some games).

The PS3 installs all still require you to have the disk in drive as well. But at least this is an option not mandatory. Plus there are other videos that show that the install helps alot on bigger games like GTA4. Search on Youtube "GTA4 install"..This was a bad game to try since the load times must be really fast right from disk..Why not test Oblivion, GTA4 or Saints2?
