About This Video
I was invited to be a guest brewer at Olde Main brewery in Ames Iowa to do a story for Iowa Public Radio. Head brewer Jeff Puff Irwin and brewer Big John Rundall put me through the labor process of making a Scottish Ale. From mashing up 1,000 pounds of grains to cleaning the kettles trube (mount dookie) I had a lot of fun. Im already a bit of a beer snob and this heightened my senses to recognize the nuances of beer.
This is the first time I took my Flip Video camera with me to extensively record video footage while gathering audio for my job at Iowa Public Radio. Its also the first video blog Ive published where I am using audio from a source other than the Flip Video camera.
