Guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil) and Greenhouse Effect.
The Story of the Effect.
Deep in the twisted years of the 1980's where beer and partying were King and marijuana was queen, there was a place called simply "White Suburbia"...Way back long ago, there occured an awkward time where Geeks didn't rule and fools were uncool...
Or were they ???
Now settle in children ,..lets go back to a place and land where a man took a stand,..we'll call it Torrance and Redondo beach...
----------------
Deep in the ancient years of 1983, When he was only 18, Clark Hagins would work in the "Dungeon' of his home at 251 in Torrance / Redondo Beach California, channeling his lonely life into tape recordings of cryptic music - dominated by heavily distorted guitars done with Speakers ripped torn complete with intentionally made 'holes' in them as applied from his love of artists like Link Wray,..to get a completely brutal distorted sound,..there, he would record his home made early original tracks like "Maury a Lad insane" and the beginnings of 'rock opera' ideas he aped from the Who's Tommy and other bands like Captain Beyond as well; "There is no God,..there is no God" exclaims the character Maury along with a lament that "Somethings Wrong with the Boy"... Years later, Hagins would hook up with power mud guitarist Phil Keegan and sloven bassist Rick Carmody to form the ultimate stoner rock band in Greenhouse Effect in Redondo Beach; "Precarious" and "Racers" would just about be the apex epitome of Keegan / Hagins angst,...Today on the internet, G.e. live on as the biggest masters of reality when it comes to earth muddy garage indie Rock !!
