Prof. Douglas Osheroff, the 1996 Nobel Laureate in Physics, is the featured speaker for the Honeywell-Nobel Laureate Lecture Series which was held at Cummins College of Engineering for Women , Pune. Professor Osheroff lectured on “How advances in science are made” and a colloquium on “What really happens at absolute zero”. Professor Osheroff shared the 1996 Nobel Prize in Physics with Prof. David Lee and Prof. Robert Richardson for “the discovery of superfluidity in helium-3”.
