Well isn't this an interesting surprise. I love impromtu videos :)

'Actually getting things done' in WordPress core, that is...

Irrelevant. I said _I_ relevant. I need to mumble less...

In the next screencast I'll be sure to mention some of the awesome things that they've also done, of which there are some.

Id like to download this and stick it on my iphone but the Downloads tab isnt there. Any chance of rectifying this Michael?

@somefool, you should be able to download it, the permissions are set to 'everyone'. But I'll save you the time to recompress it, and send you an iPhone version when I get home.

@somefool, try this: http://binarybonsai.com/files/interfacescreencast1-wordpress23dashboard.m4v

I did try grabbing the flv but isquint didnt like it for some reason. My plan was to grab the original and use isquint on that.

FWIW Still no download tab, thanks for the link though, I use that.

I enjoyed what you had to say, but agree you could have been a bit more concise. Going over all the useless info on the dashboard was interesting, I hadn't really thought about. It was just something I had to go through to get where I was going. I'm curious to hear about how things are going on Habari.

hm viddler kinda sucks ... where's is the download link ?!

What do you think of the changes in WP 2.5? The dashboard looks less cluttered and is now handled by widgets.

Well, it isn't really fair to WP25, seeing as its still in alpha (or beta); but while it might be more agile now, it's just as, if not more, confusing. The header is a link-fest, the top of the page gives a damn about alignment and if the dashboard is customizable, I'll be damned if I can figure out how to customize it. And the boxes bordering the right side of the page don't have a border to that side.

I'm not impressed as it is. But as I said, it's alpha (or beta, I don't know).
