MOBILE, Ala. – U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala., deploys an HC-144A Ocean Sentry airplane and crew to Coast Guard Air Station Houston as part of the Coast Guard’s pre-staging efforts in response to Tropical Storm Ida, Nov. 9, 2009. The Coast Guard stages assets in safe locations as hurricanes or tropical storms pass and then re-deploy them into affected areas to perform search and rescue operations.
