SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Capt. J.J. O’Conner, commanding officer of Air Station Sacramento, holds a press briefing with members of the media Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. O’Conner expressed his sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community local agencies. The search for seven aircrew from Air Station Sacramento and two Marine Corps airmen ended Sunday morning after an extensive 72-hour search. A Coast Guard C-130 Hercules fixed-wing aircraft and Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter collided in mid air Thursday evening off the California coast.
