Zesty Mac Apple Pie

From a very local farm - Suprenant's Berry Farm in Mooers, New York (in the Adirondack region of upstate New York) - I discovered this jam while driving around with Chris' family. It's a bit on the sweet side, but it's got flecks of chili and cinnamon that are hard to see on video (at least using my digital camera), but are definitely there, and that add a depth of flavor.

Black Currant

Coarse cut orange marmalade might not be too different than any other type of orange marmalade, but I find it a bit tangier, probably because the orange bits are just a bit bigger. It's very slightly bitter - a taste I don't normally like, except in this case. I find it very difficult to find coarse cut orange marmalade in my travels; I got this particular jar in Ireland during my trip there in July 2007.

I found some black currant fruit (it's not labelled as jam, because I think it uses all fruit juice for sweeteners) at the Moravian Book Shop in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, during the Christmas 2007 holidays.
