I'ts been a long, tough and emotional day. After trekking from Karanga camp [from 3000m to 4800m] the team had a few hours sleep before rising at midnight and setting off at around one in the morning for the final ascent to the summit. 6 gruelling hours later, having climbed nearly 1200m to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at 5895m the team reached the summit. A subdued, exhausted but thankful Chris sums up the climb.
