Take the dry seat for Mandalay’s Thingyan water festival as this 18min Hi-Def non-stop action movie takes you centre stage.. The bands, the people, the dancing –in Mandalay it seems like everyone has a routine just for the camera!
Held at the same time as Thailand’s Songran it highlights the differences between the two. While Songran is reminiscent of a childhood water fight, Thingyan is a celebration, a street dance party and a kinship.
For just a few days every April let convention get turned on its head!
